I almost always do it this way and i've never popped a seed while doing so. You just have to be slightly gentle with pulling it out.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4335195386983113566.post-48755366269357762782009-12-02T12:34:45.232-08:002009-12-02T12:34:45.232-08:00For pomegranate, use a hammer before cutting. Once you get really good, you can just pop them right onto a salad without worrying about ice water. Only use what you intend, leave rest in skin. This is what I've learned over the years. But, I still have stained shirts. :) I love to cook with kids too.angela@spinachtigerhttp://www.spinachtiger.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4335195386983113566.post-29211387612564614862009-12-01T17:46:24.327-08:002009-12-01T17:46:24.327-08:00i just cut my first pomegranate yesterday and used...i just cut my first pomegranate yesterday and used the same method. it was great and easy clean up. i think i may now be addicted.a tasteful gardenhttp://www.atastefulgarden.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4335195386983113566.post-63229621164797767402009-11-30T05:37:47.517-08:002009-11-30T05:37:47.517-08:00I love this video! Put the half upside down in your hand, tap the back of the fruit with a wooden spoon really hard and the seeds will drop out. The cut part needs to be down in your palm, does that make sense. Give that a try, I bet your son might like the tapping of the fruit. You might have to do it a few times but I find this isnt messy at all.63sonotechhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13257096305435537251noreply@blogger.com
