Safely Removing the pit from an Avocado

Great vid! I do everything the same except the actual removal of the pit with the knife blade - I've been scooping it out with a spoon. Unfortunately, more often than not, it results in a flying avocado pit! 8-D

Your way is much better!

Yeah, I stabbed myself once trying to get the pit out. I was using a dull knife. Ouch!

The towel, that's what I forgot, hold it with a towel. It slides too much without it.

I use to stab at it with the tip of a knife, you can imagine I cut myself a few times. I finally figured out how to do it your way and it's much better:) Glad you could show others so they don't lose a finger.

Jennifer that was cool. One thing though is that I save the pit and put it in my guacamole. It keeps it from turning brown, or so I've been told. It seems to work.
